The doctors spoke to the patient about the findings and referred them to the emergency room, where further tests confirmed the optic nerve swelling was caused by a brain tumor.
Upon further evaluation, the patient was scheduled for emergency surgery, resulting in a successful tumor removal and an anticipated full recovery.
