Regional optical shop in Conneticut transitioned from all in-person Optometrists to a combination of in-person and 20/20NOW Remote Optometrists in late June of 2020 to have added flexibility and back-up. The first week of October 2020 the in-person doctor fell ill and was unable to come into work the entire week. The optical quickly and effortlessly transitioned all patients and walk-ins to the remote 20/20NOW doctors with great success.
Operating costs significantly decreased despite completing 50% more exams than the previous year's weekly comps. Capture rates increased as well as total optical sales for the week increased by $5,000 (even during a pandemic). The Opticians were happy to not have canceled appointments and lost sales and Management was thrilled with the increased profits and savings.
